The Instrumental Thracian Choir of the Historical and Folklife Museum of New Orestiada and Region was founded in 1993 signifying a new era for the traditional song at the region of Orestiada. It has more than 80 members and its repertoire includes traditional songs from Thrace, Minor Asia and all regions of Greece.

The Historical and Folklife Museum of New Orestiada and Region, founded in 1974, is dedicated to the study and promotion of the local cultural inheritage.
After three years of renovation works, on 2 May 2010, the Historical and Folklife Museum of New Orestiada and Region has reopened the exhibition for the public. The museum is open daily from Tuesday to Sunday, opening hours: 10.00 - 13.00.

After three years of renovation works, the Historical and Folklife Museum of New Orestiada and Region has reopened the exhibition for the public. It would not be possible to complete this task without the generous contribution of the Museum Sponsors, Donors, Friends and Members. Since 1974 the Museum has been financially helped by the offers of its generous Sponsors, has enriched the Museum collection thanks to its many Donors, it grows and contributes to the cultural development of the region because of the active participation, creativity and dedication of personal time and labour of its Friends and Members.
